Decorating a child’s room is something that almost all children want to do at least once during their childhood. Some of them want it at a younger age than others, but it seems that everyone wants to express themselves by decorating their room and making it their own. Younger children will need directions along the way and maybe even help in toning down their plans to something that is feasible and doesn’t require a bank loan. Water-slides and basketball courts are nice to use, but putting one in a bedroom is probably out of the question for most homes.

Good guidance for younger children is to decorate around a theme that interests them and then add color schemes and maybe other furniture from there. There a number of different ways to go and movie characters or cartoon favorites have a lot of merchandise available for purchase, but can become dated very quickly. Generally, unless you love re-decorating yourself you want to guide the child top a theme that will last several years, not only is one of the television season.

Nature or science themes are a popular choice and dinosaur bedding seems to stand the test of time. Dinosaurs themselves have been extinct for millions of years that they still conjure up dreams of living with dinosaurs and have provided the basis for several very popular movies. Dinosaur bedding for boys, like any bedding for boys, may suffer a hard life as the rest of the things in the room, but if it spurs on an interest in science than it is worth it.

Sports or animal subjects are always a good choice too as many children have favorite pets and love playing sports. Again bedding decorated after these themes should be widely available and hopefully stand up to the wear and tear that children will give it, before they outgrow it.

Dinosaurs were recorded to be fierce and huge creatures of the past. They are considered as reptiles and feed mainly on meat and plants. Many people around the world are fascinated by these creatures. These have been featured in several movies already like the Jurassic Park.

The word dinosaur was derived from the Greek words deinos and sauros which together means terrible lizard. Dinosaurs are prehistoric animals that have existed over 200 million years ago during the Mesozoic Era. These creatures have grown in many different kinds during their existence on earth and have disappeared mysteriously during the Cretaceous Period. Based on study there are 700 types of dinosaurs which were identified but it is believed that there are more which have not yet been discovered.

Dinosaurs vary greatly in size. The smallest among the dinosaurs is the Compsognathus similar to the size with a hen only. Among the largest is the Sauropod which measures at about 100 feet in length. This type of dinosaur features a long neck known as a plant eater. Basically dinosaurs are classified according to its size and shape. Dinosaurs who feed from meet (carnivorous) are called Theropods. These are considered as bipedal animals with 3 toed feet. The Carnosaurs belong to the Theropod family which is small and is also the fastest among its kind.

Among the larger kind are the Sauropods a four legged dinosaur like the Apatosaurus Brachiosaurus and the Diplodocus. The Ankylosaurs are dinosaurs which feature spiny tails with strong armored bodies. There are also dinosaurs which have horns on top of their head like the Triceratops and are classified as Ceratopians. There are other existing animals during the Mesozoic Era that many people mistakenly identify as dinosaurs. These creatures are actually not because they dont have the same traits as the dinosaurs. Researchers have identified traits of dinosaurs.

In general however dinosaurs bear some basic traits. Dinosaurs are four legged animals but some of their kind walks on two legs. They basically dwell in land. Their bone and muscle structures are unique. They have cheek muscles which extends from the jaw connected to the skulls. Dinosaurs have a vertical gait and usually extend their bodies above their legs. Their hip girdles are composed of three bones namely pubis ilium and ischimum.

Scientists also proved that dinosaurs can run fast due to its well proportioned leg bones. They also discovered that dinosaurs have a sensitive sense of hearing and site based on the cavities that were found in their skull. Since dinosaurs are associated to be of close relationship with birds and reptiles scientist assumes that dinosaurs lay eggs. This has been proven when researchers were able to discover a fossilized egg in many different locations of the world.

Dinosaurs used to be the dominant vertebrate animals of our ecosystem. Under the phylogenetic taxonomy, dinosaurs are classified as sole descendants of the most current ancestors of modern birds and Triceratops. It is also suggested that dinosaurs can be classified as the descendants of the most current ancestor of the iguanodon and megalosaurus. This is since these are two of the three main genres quoted by Richard Own, particularly when he distinguished the dinosaurian classification.

Although T-Rex is the most popular dinosaur, there are actually various types of dinosaurs that lived long ago. In fact, there are now several facts and information about the most common dinosaurs. Many books about paleontology and archeology give a lot of information about the different species that existed. Facts about usual dinosaurs can also be found in the Internet. There is a wide information and detail about them. In fact, pictures of the most usual dinosaurs are also indicated so that even kids will have a general idea about their appearance.

There are also facts regarding the extinction of dinosaurs. These facts provide concepts on how dinosaurs became extinct in our planet 65 million year ago. Amongst other theories, the theory about a comet that hit the Earth and created massive mayhem such as clouds of smoke that lasted for months and deprivation of vegetation among others, is the one most believed by scientists. Up to now, paleontologists and archeologists study the fossils and remains of dinosaurs they found in order to shed light to the theories that pertain to their extinction centuries ago.

Facts about the bones of dinosaurs are complied and written in books by specialists that specialize in dinosaur bones. Numerous facts about bones of dinosaurs can also be found in museums. Archeologists study any dinosaur bone gathered from various parts of the word in order to know more about their kind and lifestyle. Due to the presence of fossils, the kinds of dinosaurs where revealed and man can now say that dinosaurs really existed some time in the past even before the birth of mankind.

Thus, facts about dinosaur eggs usually concentrate on what type of dinosaur they come from and the appearance of these eggs. The texture of the eggs can be verified by specie. It is interesting to know that these eggs follow a pattern when it comes to its eggshells. This pattern of eggshells enlightens us with what kind of dinosaur species it came from. The eggs of dinosaurs vary in shapes and sizes. Studying these eggs can help us analyze further these interesting species that once ruled the earth.

Dinosaurs were real and live animals that lived in most regions of the world and were completely wiped out 65 million years ago. The cause of their extinction is still debated but most of the researchers agree that when alive, the dinosaur dominated the wilds. Their footprints have found in rock, as well as some eggs rooted in them. Most of the bigger dinosaur specimens have now been collected and displayed in larger museums.

Most of the researchers around the world agree that dinosaurs are one of the larger species that lived in the Age of Reptiles, which was about more than 200 million years ago. It is estimated that the dinosaur age lasted for some 165 million years. During this time period, many types of dinosaurs roamed the wilds. Researchers have successfully come to know the variety of species of dinosaurs that existed during this time. This is done by the study of fossils of dinosaur bones being found out at different places of the world. However, many dinosaurs will never be discovered. This is due to the reason that only very few dinosaur bones are in reality fossilized through the delicate and temperamental process. In such a case, the tiniest dinosaurs and the largest will most likely be a mystery for the rest of time. Till this time, many dinosaur bones have been discovered only a few complete skeletons have ever been found. When scientists try to assemble a skeleton from bones, most of the process involves a large amount of assessment between size and morphology of other bones.

The fossilized dinosaur bones that have been unearthed from different parts of the world have helped us to know more about the mystifying creatures. The fossils of dinosaur bones serve as evidences that most dinosaurs had large bodies. Even the tiniest dinosaurs were bigger than anything else in their ecosystem and the largest dinosaur bones ever found indicate animals on a scale never seen in modern times. Dinosaurs bigger than the 38 ft tall Brachiosaurus found in Tanzania sometime between 1907-1912 have only been indicated by isolated bones.

Dinosaur bones can expose important information about the behavior of the dinosaur in its living environment. Time and again, computer simulations are employed to comprehend how a dinosaur with certain bones might have moved. These simulations compare the bones of the dinosaur with bones from more modern animals and then reconstruct the kinetics of movement based on the shapes of the bones. Because dinosaurs are thought to be more closely related to animals like birds and crocodiles rather than mammals, behaviors from these animals can be used to estimate dinosaur behavior. The analysis of bones used for movement, or Biomechanics, gives scientists information as to how quickly dinosaurs moved, if some dinosaurs could swim, and reveals whether ideas like sonic booms created by the diplodocid tail are fact or fiction.

Most people find the subject of dinosaurs fascinating and intriguing. Learning about dinosaurs allows us to experience a world that is very different from our own today. It seems the more we learn about these awesome creatures, the more we want to learn. To learn more about these prehistoric creatures, travel back in with these dinosaur inspired crafts, activities, games, and other resources.

Dinosaur Egg
In a shallow bowl mix some flour and water until you get a runny paste. Tear some newspaper into small strips. Place an inflated balloon on top of a cup or a small container so that it doesn’t tip over. Dip and soak newspaper strips in the paste and remove excess paste. Place strips on the balloon. Overlap strips until the whole balloon is completely covered. Apply three of four layers and let dry. When strips are completely dry, let your child paint the egg.

Dinosaur Bones
Spray paint a number of small dog bones white. Place them in a shallow rectangular baking dish and cover with sand or clean dirt. Tell your child to pretend that he/she is a paleontologist and that he/she will be digging for dinosaur fossils. Because dinosaurs are now extinct, he/she must examine and study these fossils to understand the history of this fascinating group of animals. Explain that the bones and the ground around the dinosaurs let us know when the dinosaurs died and what the climate was like when they lived. Just digging up the fossils could take years! Provide children with digging tools such as small toy shovels, paintbrushes, sticks, etc.

Dinosaur Activity
Make two identical sets of dinosaur pictures. (You can find great dinosaur templates on our site or in coloring books.) Place the pictures face down on a table or on the floor and mix them up. Have your child turn over a picture. Then have him/her turn over another picture to try to find its match. If the two pictures don’t match, have your child turn the pictures over and try again. Play until all the pictures are matched.

Fossil Dinosaur Craft
Have children make imprints in playdough using pennies or leaves. Explain how this is very similar to how dinosaur fossils were made. Bones made imprints in the mud. This mud hardened and became a rock or stone. When this rock or stone is broken the imprint is still in place. Explain that we can learn about dinosaurs through fossils.

Dino, Dino, Who Has Your Bone?
Have your child close his/her eyes. Hide the dino bone. (A dog’s chew toy bone makes a good dino bone.) Say, “Dino, Dino, who has your bone, somebody stole it from your home. Guess who!” Have your child try to find the bone.

Dinosaur Salad
Explain that many dinosaurs were plant eaters. Discuss with your child that fruits and vegetables are parts of plants. Provide a variety of fruits and vegetables. Peel and slice the fruits/vegetables and place in a bowl. Mix together. Serve on a paper plate. Ask your child to eat his/her fruit or vegetable salad just as dinosaurs might have—without hands. Some suggested fruits and vegetables: bananas, apples, grapes, oranges, cantaloupe, watermelon, strawberries, lettuce, carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower.

Dinosaur Dancing
Discuss different ways the dinosaurs moved. Walk slowly like a Triceratops, run fast like a Compsognathus, etc. Play some instrumental music and let your child move or dance around like a dinosaur.

We can also find other information for dinosaurs from other sources, but here is the most interesting and the most basic one that help us understand these creatures in general.

It is believed that dinosaurs existed on the earth millions of years ago. It is a dominant species of vertebrate animals whose extinction raised lots of questions which scientists have been trying to find out answers to until the present day.

Hence, both classifications result to an identical set of animals being classified as dinosaurs. This would include the Sauropodomorph, Theropods, Ankylosaurians, Ornithopods, Ceratopsians and the Stegosurians. These classifications are printed to correspond with the precise conception of dinosaurs that predated the Earth via the use of Phylogenetics.

Although T-Rex is the most popular dinosaur, there are actually various types of dinosaurs that lived long ago. In fact, there are now several facts and information about the most common dinosaurs. Many books about paleontology and archeology give a lot of information about the different species that existed.

Names of the most common dinosaurs are categorized into two orders such as Ornithischia and Saurischia. The first order consists of the kinds of dinosaurs that walked on the surface of the earth. They have hip joints that allow them to stroll around. The other order consists of dinosaurs that have joints and enabling them to fly. The T-Rex is among the most common dinosaurs that fit into the Ornithischia order while the Archaeopteryx is the greatest example of the Saurischia order.

Facts about usual dinosaurs can also be found in the Internet. There is a wide information and detail about them. In fact, pictures of the most usual dinosaurs are also indicated so that even kids will have a general idea about their appearance.

Up to now, paleontologists and archeologists study the fossils and remains of dinosaurs they found in order to shed light to the theories that pertain to their extinction centuries ago.

Some extinction theories are said to be primarily caused by environmental factors, multiple collision and asteroid collisions. Another theory about the extinction of dinosaurs is due to a massive volcanic explosion of the Earth’s super volcanoes. It tells us that the super explosion overcame the Earth by means of sulfur dioxide and the blanketing of the surface of the Earth.

Information for dinosaurs is abundant. Here is the information which help people to get knowledge of dinosaurs. To get well-understanding of these animals, internet is a good choice.
